IH 154 Final Drive Oil change question
I am going to change the final drive oil in my IH 154 Cub Lo-boy. I have been using IH 85,90-140 wt. gear oil in it for the last 10 years. I just happen to have some extra IH Hy-tran on hand. I know that the manual calls for Hy-Tran in the final drives but is there any harm going back from 85,90-140 wt. to Hy-tran in the final drives? Also, I really do not feel like taking the fenders off etc. ( done so many times). Did anyone ever just suck the final drive oil out? Thanks!!

Re: IH 154 Final Drive Oil change question
No issues replacing the 90wt oil with Hytran.
As for draining the oil, don't you just pull the pans off the finals? (careful with the gasket)
