Lo Boy Hydraulic Pump Exploded View

Postby EricS » Sat Jun 18, 2016 7:19 am

Hi All.

Does anyone know where I can get a blown up/exploded view of a Cub Lo Boy Hydraulic Pump?
I rebuilt mine the other day and it no longer works
I rebuilt it by looking at how the parts went together then taking it apart and re-assembling it the way I thought was correct...alas...I goofed somewhere since it doesn't work at all now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Eric, Welcome to the Forum. In the tool bar above you can click on "PDF Manuals" and then "numbered loboys". The parts manual in section F gives exploded views. Hopefully that will help. Did you bleed the system for air after reinstalling the pump?

Bob,

Thanks, no I didn't bleed it. I filled the pump with some fluid, but I didn't bleed the system. Please let me know how that is done if you can.

Many thanks!
Eric

Eric, I'm not sure about the numbered series, but on many systems you take the fill plug out and work the control back and forth about a dozen times.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Try the nose down position to initially put fluid into the pump. Get the transmission/differential higher than the pump.

If that doesn't work. Disassemble the pump and pack the gears with vaseline petroleum jelly.

There are several different hydraulic pumps used on numbered Cubs. Depends on model and serial number.
I have an excuse. CRS.
