Cub Lo-Boy 185 Plow Question
Do you really need the helper spring and if so what functions does it serve? Also if your not going to plow a large area can you most likely leave the belly mower still attached? Thx Brian

Re: Cub Lo-Boy 185 Plow Question
Hopefully, you are speaking of the snowplow blade and not talking about a breaking plow.
In most cases, the snowplow is not as wide as the mower deck. The deck will catch on the snow or dirt on the sides. Also, the deck and the plow blade share the same rockshaft. They will move up and down at the same time. Having your deck down at mowing height will not serve very well while pushing snow or dirt.
I would recommend removing the deck. It only takes 15 minutes to remove.
