Making a 154 into a reverse drive
Does anyone have any experience with switching the ring gear to the opposite side to make a 154 drive with 3 speeds in reverse. Just want to know if it's ever been done on a 154 Cub and can I use the existing parts. Thanks.

Not a big job. I did one by mistake when I first started. 3 back 1 forward.

My plan is to put the snow blade on the back, make a new cab facing the rear with clutch and brake controls. Also power steering via a single lever instead of a steering wheel. I already have a heated cab. All I use it for is to plow snow and move small trailers around in a tight area and with steering in the rear it will be much easier for me.

That's ambitious. Post pictures of your progress and final product. We love project like that and we all learn something in the process.

Will do, but it won't be until spring-still snow to plow before I tear it apart.

Re: Making a 154 into a reverse drive
That will be a cool project. Probably the hardest part will be the clutch and brake setup. My dad had an IH 4000 forklift that was an industrial tractor turned around like your describing. Seat was basically mounted where the steering wheel should have been. Flat platform between the fenders where the seat shoul have been. Shifter had an arm welded to it and came out the side under the new seat. Also had a gas pedal on the floor instead of the throttle lever. I might have some photos but definitely give me a shout if you need any ideas. I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours I spent on that machine so I know it well.
Good luck
Bill
