Postby reeves123@hughes.net » Mon May 22, 2017 11:51 am

DO YOU HAVE TO SEPARATE THE TRACTOR AT THE MIDDLE FRAME BOLTS OR CAN YOU JUST DROP THE DRIVE SHAFT AND CLUTCH AND REMOVE IT THAT WAY

Remove the rockshaft, Drop the driveshaft, Disconnect the steering arm and clutch fork, Loosen the PTO belts and remove the bottom PTO pulley assembly and remove the pressure plate and flywheel. Lastly, drain and remove the oil pan and the rear main seal retainer.
Clean the sludge out of the bottom of the oil pan and straighten the lip (if needed).
This is also the best opportunity to change the PTO belts. Use OEM Belts, they are much stiffer than a regular belt and must be a matched pair.

The best manuals are the original reprints. Binder Books carry them (paper manual).
