I read an article that says ratchet web straps are a NO NO. It said only truckers chain and ratchet binder should be used when tailoring a tractor. Any thoughts?

AFAIK the real ratchet straps are DOT approved. I doubt that the thin Harbor Freight stuff is. They are changing law so fast it is hard to keep up.
P.S. The COMMONwealth of Virginia is closing the rest stops on interstate 81 to save money, go before you leave home.
