Cub rollovers and front axle splitting wedges

A friend of mine is buying his first cub this week. I tried explaining the front axle spitting wedges and how they work. Also what happens when a cub flips over off the jacks.
Does anybody have a pic of a Cub flipped over off of the jacks? Or plans of the wedges? I have never jacked a Cub up and tried to pull a final before. Maybe a few Cubbers could post one here or in a new post ( then I will delete this one).

This is what can and most likely will happen if the Cub is not wedged.

Folks,

I will be bringing a set of Phillip Lenke's prototype wedges to the DSCF for serious use and evaluation by the experts. I'm sure that they will be something that every Cubber will want in the shop to help prevent rollovers. Quick to install, serious strong, and effective.

Jeff,

That is why I felt there had to be a better way and hopefully this is it. We will know more when we put them to the test at DSCF. Phil has used the prototype and was pleased with its performance but wants further input before the design becomes final. Thus the use at DSCF so that many can provide input.

Bill, I volunteer to test them out, since I will be doing a final swap as well as a rear seal replacement! Do I get to keep them if I like them??!!

Mr E: Yes, thats the one. It was written by Spaceghost back in Jan 2007. Others here can find it not here in the Safety Forum, but in "Rural and City Life/How-to Forum/Frame and Sheet metal"

Barnyard: Thanks for the pic. That should spook everybody in to doing it the right way.

Bill Hudson: Thanks for keeping on the wedge block issue. Please post a "For Sale" when we can all buy a set.

I hear Roy has volunteered one of his Cubs to use for a demo to show a Cub rolling over without wedges. We could probably schedule that for the Saturday morning live broadcast.

I figured what we could do is take one of Roy's Cubs and jack it up in the rear. Then we could yank the rear wheels off with out wedging the front. That should make for a great How To (or How Not To) video. It should even be a big drawing card to watch the live telecast. Roy, since we plan to video this, you might want to use one of your better looking Cubs. :)
