Their opening a week of doe deer muzzle loading / bow hunting here in mid September, that should go over well with the 100 degree weather we're having.
I'm so sick of summer, come on frost and changing leaves....

1st of October here in Michigan. I usually don't get too excited about hunting until the weather cools down. It's not a lot of fun sitting in 80 degree temps and being buzzed by bugs.

Then again, I'm sure I'll tough it out.

If this guy keeps showing up on my cam in daylight, I'll brave the heat and bugs in September bow!

Guns and dogs started yesterday. Bow season Aug 15. The past few days have been cooler than normal, evening temps being quite pleasant. I just might have to go out this weekend and see what I can find

Rick, I had two of them pass by last year on the same morning, just not close enough though.
You've reminded me it's time to get my camera out to see what's moving now.
Last years mass was the lowest recorded here in over 40 years and they say this year is the biggest, what little walking around I've done I believe their right, the white oaks are loaded. We may have to kick the deer out like hunting rabbits this season.
