i like to use heirloom seeds, because i figure this way, i'm helping to preserve history ;^)
also, heirlooms are tried, tested-true, and you can save their seeds and get the exact same plant again next year
, which is not true of hybrid seeds. however, it can rightly be said that hybrids often perform better in their bred-for categories
i love getting the catalogs in order to see the finished products the way they could
be, as opposed to how they might come out of my garden (sometimes, mine are even be better
i like getting all of the catalogs, such as those aforementioned, and also
you download their catalog from the 'Net, and print out yourself. their heirloom seeds are about half
the cost of everyone else's i've priced.
