When do you harvest sweet taters

here is a pic of a few of our taters that I dug today. These have a total weight of 21# with the largest one at 8.75#. I had thought that the hot dry summer that we had would have been hard on the sweet taters, but these did very good. It has been so wet for the last few weeks that I have not been able to dig many, but I have gotten the vines pulled off.
