I just came across one of my favorite recipes that I think some of you may enjoy:
Poppy Seed Bread
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 t. soda
1 1/2 t. butter extract
1 1/2 t. almond extract
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 T. poppy seed
Blend for 2 minutes. Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Topping --( pour over loaf when cooled )
1 c. 10Xsugar
2 T. orange juice
1/4 t. almond extract
1/4 t. vanilla
We leave off the toping, slice and spread with butter.
Enjoy---Agnes

Wow, that sounds delicious. I haven't had poppy seeds in about 20 years, I have to shy away from them due to random drug testing.

Agnes, that sure sounds like a good bread. We will certainly have to try it. I especially love the idea of Almond flavoring - it's my favorite.
You should also put up your recipe for V8 Juice so that it comes from you. I think some of the others would enjoy it as well.
Thanks again for posting your recipe.
