Breakfast Casserole (Bacon)
10 slices bread, cut in 1-inch cubes
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Â¼ cup melted butter
6 eggs, beaten
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cups milk
Â½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon each salt & pepper
Alternate layers of bread and cheese in a 2-quart casserole dish. Pour melted butter over top. Mix other ingredients and pour over layers of bread. Cover with tin foil and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes covered. Uncover and bake 20-30 minutes longer.
Great as a Christmas make ahead breakfast
