evidently a good chainsaw is like a good marriage. you appreciate the heck out of it when you got one, and drull over that wonderful chainsaw someone else has?

Turns out the saw could take either 3/8 or .375 chain. The sprocket had to match the chain. He had .375 chain and a 3/8 sprocket. when a chain for a chainsaw is listed 3/8 and .375 is the same size. .325 is the smaller metric size than 3/8 or .375 just for those who were wondering good luck never seem to have that problem with the chips. i think you'll probably have to wear the chain down so the rakers aren't so short. I also only run pro chain and have had very good luck with skip tooth chains as well. Kevin Kevin's 49er
