Is this IH?

Postby Shane Nelson » Thu Dec 07, 2017 11:57 am

Can anyone tell me if this is an IH product or something else with a fast hitch added? If it is IH what is it's value?

It looks like a Cub-3 field cultivator that was converted to Fast-Hitch with a 521 093 R92 coupling beam (which is in the Cub tractor parts catalog).

I guess the value is in the eye of the beholder. A Cub-3 in original condition is worth several hundred (a plus). Home-made implements or conversions usually don't have much value (a minus). On the other hand, this appears to have been converted using an official IH coupling beam in the manner IH intended (a plus). Looks like the rear tool bar is bent, probably because the frame rails were moved too close to the center (a minus). So you have 2 plusses and 2 minuses.

Edit: The clamps and teeth seem to be kind of hard to find. So it is worth more than scrap value because of the parts.

Thanks again Jim, I knew if anyone knew anything about it you'd be the man. I found it on craigslist if anyone is interested, it's not mine and I have no affiliation with the seller. $250 is the asking price.
