Postby Arizona Mike » Sat Apr 08, 2006 4:04 pm

Well, here i sit in the hotel in San Antonio waiting to leave for the wedding.

My oldest daughter will be an Elmendorf in a few hours. :)

Where does the time go? It was only a few years ago she was my baby :?

boy, do I ever feel like the OLD man tonight. ...My daughter looks beautiful though and I am very happy that she has found the special partner. Can't really ask much more from life than to see both of your children grown and happy.

Mike,
I know how you feel. My youngest son will be getting married May 13th. Makes you realize how fast life can pass. It's great to have so many friends here on this forum to share not only our cubs with but also many other things in life. Best wishes to the new couple and your family.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

One of the toughest things a Dad has to do is forward her to a trustworthy Man. My oldest daughter just married in March. same here ,where did the time go.
Is this your first daughter to marry.

Thank you fellas.

Both of my girls are married now, and yes it was not an easy ordeal. Its a bitter sweet night for the FOB. This was a large affair that my daughter and son-in-law had been planning for over a year. Everything went off like clockwork. I am very pround and happy for both Annie and Dirk.

One thing I will tell you. I have never been around a smarter, better looking or more professional group of young people ever. They are all techies and partners in Linux ("In a world without fences, who needs Gates") and Rackspace (San Antonio server company). Left me feeling like the future is in good hands....and BOY CAN THEY DANCE over there. I'm talkin Texas 2 step like I have never seen...feet were flyin...except for my two.

I took my TC 37 along to study up for my governor replacement test this week...Didn't study though so had to postpone the test again.

Thanks again to all of ya.
