Made me think of something that happened several years ago.
Nortel hired a young helper installing a new telephone switch in the Potosi office. The kid had just gotten a little Datsun 280Z sports car and was continually telling us how great it was. I was working through the day, going home for 4 or 5 hours sleep, then coming back in at 1am to work with the installers, and after a couple nights of him bragging about his car I was getting tired of it, so I asked him if he wanted to have a little drag to see if his car was as good as he claimed. He asked if we could get away with that, and I said sure, I have known the local law enforcement for a while, and it will be overlooked so long as we don't get to crazy. So we agreed to the next night. I came in a little late so he would already be inside the building. At break time ( about 3 am) we went out for the drag. he has the 280Z, and I have a 30 year old Chevy 3/4 ton 4wd that looks as if the little pieces of rust ever quit holding hands it would fall apart. He says "Do you really think you can beat me in a drag with that?" I say sure, and walk over to the truck and start dragging out a large log chain. He looks at me and asks what it is for. I replied that around here when we have a drag we tie the 2 vehicles together and see which one can drag the other one out of town, and I think I have you beat.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
