I'm a little closer, about 15 miles. My daughter lives and works in Mentor. No problem for us -- yet.

Just got a news report. The derailment is very near to a road I travel a lot. As a matter of fact, I will be going through there about 4:30 PM. Guess not, the road has just been closed. Tank cars of ethanol are on fire. Evacuated people within 1/2 mile radius of the fire.

Couple hundred miles for me but I could use some of the heat! It was 90 here Monday and the high today was 55.
