Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter! What a wonderful day it was too :!: Sun was shining and the day was really warm - spring is surely on its way now.

My son and I spent a great day together today. Gave Emilie (my better half) the day off. Duane and I made a family breakfast - Eggs Benedict on a bed of Canadian Bacon and/or Smoked Salmon. My son is very very good at making sauces and the Hollandaise is probably his best.

After breakfast - well actually brunch seeing as we ate at 1pm, we took an hour or two off - I worked on the CBI-1A transfer to html - over 440 pages.... . Then we started supper.

Pineapple basted Ham, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Turnip, Garden Corn and Steamed Broccoli with a Cheese sauce (Bernaise).

I truly enjoy cooking with my son. It is one passion we share together, and watching the approving looks and the rapt concentration as my womenfolk enjoy their meal, truly does make my day :)

My son does not share my passion for woodworking or tractors or any of my hobbies, but we do share this one, and any time I can spend with my son is truly an enjoyable experience.

I do hope you all are able to spend quality time with those whom you love and care for, especially on wonderous days such as today.

Peace be with you all +

Sounds like you had a great day Rudi. We had our son & daughter-in-law and grandson over as well as my sister and one of my aunts. Had an easter egg hunt for my grandson after lunch. Gotta love the boy! He was looking for eggs in the back yard and when he got close to the barn, he forgot all about the eggs and wanted to go for a tractor ride! All the women-folk think I spoil him????????

Happy Easter to you all. Your right about spring is almost here. Easter is a sure sign and the proper time of the year for renewal. Also had family in to spend the weekend. Church - Food - Family. Great weekend.

Rudi..... It's been a week since I sent the "Farmall Straps". Wonder if they'll ever get there? If it's too much longer, hope they don't go bad .......
