Was working behind the shed yesterday finishing welding a bullet stop I am making, when a helicopter went by. Pretty soon it came back flying over the creek. We always see them this time of summer, flying drug patrol looking for marijuana patches. They circled around and hovered just south of me with the passengers windows toward me. I first thought they were curious as to what I was welding up, then realized they were turned more toward my garden, which is just below my shop, and kind of out of sight of the road. I hope I still have my okra plants in the morning. They are not real common in this area, and I figure most people have never seen okra growing.

I reckon as long as you don't smoke your okra you should be alright!

Several years ago a landscaper near here planted a bed of maple trees. He came home one day to find the Sheriff had dug up and took all his trees for testing after a neighbor called and said he thought he was growing pot.
I forget the amount, but he recieved a sizeable settlement from the county.

Hemp is rather distinctive close up. From a helicopter, okra might look like hemp. When law enforcement shows up let them look over the okra. Kinda casually tell them not to look in the fence rows behind the neighbor's barn.
