Getting Out Of DodgeThis will probably be my last time to log on for a while. We are going to try to get out of Ivan's way. We have our most important things (pictures, documents, clothes, etc. etc.) packed and loaded and will be leaving in a little while. Ivan looks like a mean one so we aren't staying. So if you reply to this thread, I won't see it for a few days. Wish all us luck.
God Bless. Beverly and I wish you Safety, Happiness and Health!

Know you ain't here at the moment and hope you are not stuck in some 50 mile traffic jam For those other Cubbers who are in the path of Ivan, our prayers are with you also. Godspeed Merlin! I've been chatting with Dave down in St. Amant. He is going to ride it out.

Thanks everyone. Your prayers worked. Now we need to do the same for the people in Fl., Al., and Ms. that weren't as fortunate. We made it back home yesterday afternoon. We stayed in Memphis until it was over. We didn't even get a sprinkle out of Ivan here. It doesn't matter though, I would do it again. I hit I-55 N. in Ponchatoula and didn't hit any traffic all the way to Memphis. I was beginning to think everyone else knew something I didn't. Thanks again to all of you.
Hey Merlin,
Next time you plan to travel I-55 N as far as Memphis, let me know. I live in Pope, MS and work in Batesville, MS. You were no further than a mile or so from me as you passed through on I-55. Glad you made it back safe and un-harmed. "Never forget where it is you come from, or you may find yourself someplace you don't want to be"
