The recent death of my Monter in Law, combined wth the deaths a few years ago of my Father in Law and Father has gotten me started thinking (scary ain't it) about different phrases used to describe people.

In my part of the Mo. hills the phrase "they're good people", is used to describe someone you know quite well, usually a husband and wife or small family, that can be depended on to do what is right, or help you if you need it, even if it creates a hardship for htem. Another phrase used is"they're all good people". which is used to describe a group of people you know, that you don't know anything bad about. It implies trust, but not as complete a trust as the first phrase does.

Just curious about similiar phrases used in other areas.
