Man, I Hate Getting Old!!

There was a bit of confusion at the store this morning. When I was ready to pay for my groceries, the cashier said, "Strip down, facing me."

Making a mental note to complain to my congressman about Homeland Security running amok, I complied and did just as she instructed.

When the shrieking finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to how I should position my credit card for payment.

I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future.

They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer!

Bill, in your case, it would be laughter, not shrieking! :) Ed

Was going to haul a cub power unit and a 3 point blade for Scrivet yesterday. Was about a 1/4 mile past his house when I remembered I was supposed to pick him up. On the return trip hauling the equipment we were about a half mile out of town when he reminded me we were supposed to stop so he could get his car. He had forgotten that part too. Like I said, it gets worser.

Today CRS story. Electrical wiring recently built shop. Previously had ran all of the branch circuits to the electrical panel. Today wired up the 220 volt outlet to power the building with a generator set. Plugged in the generator set and fired it up. Started testing the branch circuits. No power. Pushed all of the reset buttons on the ground fault circuit outlets. No power. Pushed the reset buttons on the generator set. No power. About to give up and go home when I remembered, I hadn't wired any of the branch circuits to the electrical panel.

Wired up the branch circuits, installed bulbs in one circuit with cold weather fluorescent fixtures. Fired up the generator set, reset the ground fault circuit outlets. Tested all of the wall outlets, power. Flipped the light switch. No lights. Tested the circuit. No power. Shut down the generator set. Time to go home and rethink this problem. Out the door sitting in the pickup. Wait. I wired up two circuits for the lights. Back into the building, fired up the generator set, flipped the 2nd light switch. Lights.

Can't be age related. Must be the foehn (pronounced fern). Foehn is a weather related event and can be a psychological defense in Germany.
