UPDATE:

At least a foot of heavy, wet snow on the ground and still snowing. Power has been out since 11 last night, but the generator is purring along just fine. Lots of trees and limbs down. I have my part of the road clean, but the plow can't get in because of the downed trees. Storm center of circulation is up near Carl's PA place. Moving very slowly to the WNW. Fortunately we haven't had the high winds that were predicted.

Buffalo, NY, not much of a problem. Winds were not as bad as predicted. Rain wasn't a big deal. Some general flooding (standing water) and limbs/trees down in places, but overall, not a big deal. Kids went to school today, and I actually got a flight out yesterday and am flying back home tonight, so basically, business as usual.

Beautiful here today... They sure do an awesome job of cleanup, most roads are open, loads of branches and trees down, thankfully no casualties that I know of. No power at work, so I took some pictures, worked on the generator (yuky tank!) and have the C-2 spindle ready to go back in after replacing the bushing.

The awesome folks from Ill (don't think they know Bear... but I did ask) disconnected the neighbor's power and lifted the tree off the car. Helped a bit to get into pieces so they can reconnect. Car isn't that bad, considering.

Life is good, warm and mostly sunny here. Ran into a fellow Cub owner (actually son) working on the downed trees at a mansion. Stopped by cliff walk and a youngster was challenging the waves...

Hurricane sandy was a non event here thankfully, we had .6" of rain and some snow flurries this morning. The wind was not over 10-20 mph and that was in squalls.
it is a cold cloudy day. No loss of power, some neighboring counties have outages. The Shenandoah valley was mostly unscathed.

Just got the word that our power is back up. Only 15 hours. Better than the 7+ days last year! :D My neighbor is smarting though. Two huge trees fell on a van he JUST bought and did not have on insurance. Ouch.

Believe it or not, here in the southwest corner of Indiana, we are having 15-25 mph steady winds with gusts from 35-40 mph. It is sunny however. It sure is/was a big storm.

Lost power Monday night at 10 pm. Back on at 1 pm today. Roof leaked. Some clean up in the yard to do but not as bad as some of the thunder storms we get.

Can't say it was the best. Pine tree just missed the Super AV but got the cub. Cub needs a hood pounded out or replaced. Grill pretty bad too. Head lamp post ripped off.
