Update

Postby Rudi » Wed May 18, 2005 5:18 pm

Hi all.

Just thought that I would update everybody on the issues discussed in the Just in Time for Mother's Day thread.

Mom had her angiogram done last Thursday. Yeah, it is kinda late update, but Em and I have been kinda occupied with Doc appointments and the like over the past little while.

Anyways, balloon angioplasty and stents are not options for her at the moment, and they are scheduling her for a triple by-pass. Seems to run in the family this year  :D

Em and I still cannot travel, at least not until we see my Doc tomorrow morning. We discovered last week that I am fighting PCP which is PneumosCystic Pneumonia... a very virulent form. On massive doses of anti-biotics. Hopefully my results will match my clinical presentations which have improved vastly over the past week. Then Em and I are going to head to Ottawa ASAP.

Will try to post from Ottawa whilst I am there.

Mom is kinda chipper about it all and is actually looking forward to the surgery....  I know... weird... but as she said, she has seen the results up close and personal, and is looking forward to the same results herself.

Anyways, there it is.. thanks for letting me vent a tad..

Cheers all

Rudi, you, your Mom and the whole family will remain in our thoughts and prayers. A good outlook is half the battle. Tell Mom that Bigdog said "You go girl!"
