Hey Ed, just found that the smell in my car was something in the trunk left over from ice fishing..... Yikes! At least a giant donut doesn't smell, and it was winter (snowman donut).

After all of Ed's adventures in Virginia last week Southern Maid donuts would probably be the last thing on his wish list.

Never had grits and iced tea, as a meal. Sounds like something you'd feed the chickens, on a hot day! Ed

Grits is good Ed, so is Iced Tea. However, not sure the heat is what a northerner would call ideal. Nope.. not my idea of a fun time at all. I think I will wait for my Cider Donuts at Cecil's :{_}:

I celebrated a day late yesterday evening. Stopped at the Krispy Kreme store on the way back from the IH club meeting. The Hot Light wasn't on, but when we came inside they were finishing up some cream filled and had just started "squirting" the batter on the conveyer belt for hot, original glazed. It was almost a religious experience watching them slowly zigzag through the conveyer's path, then "ploop" into the grease, flip over, finish cooking, and then pass through the glazer. At that point one of the ladies was picking them up with a stick and placing them in the box. We were back in the truck with a dozen warm bites of heaven before they ever even turned the light on....
