Pray for mercy

Please pray for my father William A. Sorensen Sr. We took dad to St. Vincents hospital on Staten Island today. A couple of weeks ago we had a 96th birthday party for him. He has had problems with Postate cancer migrating to the spine but able to get along fine. Lately his feet and ankles have swollen to the point that this morning I was afraid the skin would burst. The hospital fears that it may be related to congestive heart failure. They did blood tests and felt he had near renal failure too. He has been near that for years but it stabilized 5 years ago. This they will have to check against old tests to figure out. We are Episcopalians and our priest visited Dad tonight. He asked dad "How do you feel Bill"? "OK" What are you doing here"? Father I am getting ready to go." I hope not. It is out of my control. If it is the lords plan to take him please let it be merciful. Really I hope that God doesn't want him yet and will let us have more good times together.

It's in God's hands. I pray that He allows your dad to stay with you a while longer.

Thank you every one. I just came home from visiting dad. His swollen feet and legs have reduced considerably in size. He is breathing better. I will be going back after lunch. Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers. My brother Don is with dad now.
