I received a call this morning from our township zoning office informing me that I have been appointed to the township Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). I like the fact our community can all work together to make change when needed. This is where the BZA comes in. They help the residents live the way they wish, whenever possible. What is nice about our local code is that anyone wanting to do something that is against the code can file an appeal. The BZA will hear the appeal and make a decision whether to give an okay for the resident’s project or deny it. In our township, most all appeals are approved unless there are strong reasons to say no, such as a possible health or dangerous situation.
I am well known by many in our small community and I am honored to be selected. They know I will honest and fair in any decisions I will have to make as a board member. I don’t plan to let them down.
By the way, please don’t see this as a political post. I don’t want to see it go in that direction.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Congratulations Bill !!
I am sure you will be fair and discerning in all your decisions.
Just remember, no green tractors permitted! Just kidding of course.

Congrats Bill!
When I lived in town (Sidney) before I moved back to the country, I was on the ZBA, Zoning Board of Appeals. Very interesting situations came up, for sure.
Be nice to all your fellow members so they support you when you present your appeal.
