Farmall Cub

We just built a garage after living here for 17 years, and as part of the final project I decided to replace the concrete blocks I have been using to get up to the back of the garage floor with a set of prefab concrete steps. After installing a storm door it was a little unhandy to get in. Had the crane 3/4 of the way out (600 pound max position), and it was absolutely all the crane could handle. Between my wife and I we got it in place with the only damage being some scraped paint on the trailer fender and a pretty good bruse on my hand where the winch handle slipped out of my hand while lowering it. Due too the load and the difficulty of contoling them on a slope I waited until they were down to take a picture rather than while still in the air.






That crane is turning into one of the handiest things I own. Second only to my wife.

Nice job you have done there.I notice you have some catwalk steel for ramps.I use that as ramps as well to put my cadet in the back of my van,when I have to move it. Bruce

Is the garage full of cubs yet?

Scotty, just cars so far. cubs are in shed at farm about half a mile away.

Bruce, I really love the catwalks for ramps. I have enough of them to make a solid ramp full width of trailer, and they are light enough I don't have a problem lifting them. Really handy at times.


got it all finished and the hand rail up this afternoon, but afraid I overdid it, and am going to be hurting for a couple days or so. At least it didn't come out to bad, even got a picture of my aluminum recycling barrel in the picture. It normally sets where I can just open the door and drop cans (soda), etc. in.

Nice job with the steps John! Looks like between getting the steps in place and selling the Cub, your Forth of July weekend has been very good so far. I'd say it's time for a R&R tomorrow

I too like the idea of the catwalk ramps - however, the ones I have access too are expanded steel and are wayyy too heavy for me..
