Just received a phone call from the local GM dealership. A/C compressor leaking.
The current leaking compressor is the 4th one installed in my 95 Dodge 1500 pickup in 5 years. Ordered a new Chrysler compressor. This compressor will make the 5th one in 5 years.

Re: Lot of junk being sold as replacement parts.
Recently had the a/c refilled on my 2000 S-10, second time since replacing compressor with aftermarket one in 2007. Mechanic said when he was in a/c school the instructor ask who made the best a/c. After several comments were made JR said "one that does not leak". "Doesn't mater who made it". Wife once had a car that the a/c only worked acceptably at night.
