What to do with miscellaneous engine parts ?

Postby Paul Van Benschoten » Mon Nov 23, 2015 6:01 am

Over the years I have acquired a bin of parts that I thought would come in handy. I have not seen a forum post where someone was looking for any of these in used condition. Maybe an "artist" could use some in a sculpture project?

What do most engine re-builders do with things like these?

3 cam shafts with the large gear attached
3 oil pump housings and 3 sets of gears
6 pistons with rods- Not 4 or 8, but 6.
bearings and brackets for a crank shaft.
valves, lifters (is that the right word here) and springs
a bucket of rusty bolts of various sizes - I may try to clean some up this winter.

Is this just scrap?
