It's hard to be prepared for everything life can throw at you. Doesn't matter how much money you have, how educated you are, or how much pre-planning you do.....a curve ball will come your way.

A couple of weeks ago, after my wife's routine mammogram, we received a call.......she needed to come back. That's when the heart rate goes up, and your mind starts to drift into all sorts of scenarios. A few days after the second exam.......we get the call, "we need to do another type of test".

You get lumps in your throat......even at 45. You pace around the house, wondering who to tell, what to tell, and try to put your best face on to carry on with things. A true, helpless feeling.

This morning, we received a call from the doctors office...........no problems, just some scar tissue. What a relief!! :!: :!: :!: :!:

Needless to say how insignificant other things are.

Harold: That is great news. Janie went through that about seven or eight years ago. Bad news, she had cancer. Good news, after surgery, yearly test have always indicated that she no longer has cancer. A big sigh of relief when she passed the five year mark. Bad test results sure causes one to re-evaluate what is important in one's life. Dan

Harold,

That is surely quite a relief... the uncertainty while awaiting results can be very draining.

I'm in my third year as a cancer survivor. My current health problems are a result of very aggressive radiation treatment that seems to have the cancer under control.

I'm sure you will be closely following the advice to have every possible test... for BOTH of you!

Harold:

As others have expressed, Thank the Good Lord for these Blessing... :!: My heart was pounding as I read your post. The fear in your email was palpable and it clearly was transmitted.

The relief also was clear.

Again, Thank the Good Lord for these Blessings.

Em and I have spent the last 13 years Thanking God for HIS Blessings that he has given us, even with the crosses that He asks us to bear. There is a reason and there is a rhyme to all. What that is, I am not too sure, but I do know this, and I think you also know it for sure now,

One benefit from the crosses each of us is asked to bear, is the closeness and love that we feel for our mates and our children and the rest of our families and friends.

Thank God For ALL Our Blessings

May the Peace of the Lord be with you and your wife and your family!

(+)

I am so glad that the news was positive. :!:
