Power unit rad

Postby beaconlight » Fri Sep 30, 2005 4:25 am

Wasn't some one looking for a power unit radiator lately? This guy has it for a cub but it looks like a power unit rad to me.

I checked the part # listed with my local dealer, came back as a invalid number. The radiator appears to be the one for a power unit or for a Farmall A and/or B. 8)

Outlet is on the wrong side for an A/B isn't it? Might be for a Cub power unit.

Yep. The outlet is on the wrong side for the radiator to fit an A or a B. I must start paying closer attention.

Hey if I were to buy this radiator, ya think my unit would be ready for running? That and maybe a couple bolts and a carb.

Ya think Steve :?:  I agree it's seen it's better days.

I found this engine almost buried in the dirt some 20 years ago and all was sticking out was the air cleaner and carb. (that Rudi now has) and manifold. The block and head is cracked from freezing. Not much there worth keeping but never had the heart to throw it away. The engine still has oil and no signs of water in the crankcase, so maybe the crank is still good, along with the govenor and possibly the flywheel. When I took the head off many many years ago there was no signs of wear in the cylinders, but some 30 year of rust at that time it. What a shame someone didn't take better care of it than that.

What can I say, I am a junk collector
