You attended the better school, the "school of hard knocks", aka, life experience. It's a far better teacher than the classroom. Don't get me wrong, some careers require and need extensive classroom instruction, but there are some fields (no pun intended) that college cannot prepare you for.

Your welding and machine work qualify you as a true craftsman. Thanks for sharing so many of your projects with us.

Got this 2 seat glider back from paint and put it back together with stainless bolts. These are the only 2 before pictures I can find right now. I’m gonna give this to my wife for Valentine’s Day. We bought it at an auction about 5 years ago and she’s been asking about it.

Got this back together today. Now just attach the railroad track.

Customer brought these parts he had made and wanted us to make a hook and weld it on X 400 pieces. I would tell you what they are for but I better not.

Monotonous work, to say the least.

Both the glider and the disc frame turned out nice. Believe you'll get more bonus points from your wife with the glider, though. :||):

Monotonous yes, I can't stand these production jobs, I love making 1-5 pieces of something which is why I like working here, we do a lot of custom prototype work.

I hope the wife is happy with the glider!

I make things from time to time just because I like the challenge. I have 2 of these for the tractor and thought why not build another. I made this one from scratch, made the upper and lower ball, the hitch insert & pin and also the pins to hook it up although I don't know what it would ever hook to

It's the same height as a spray can of paint. Those are 5/16-24 threads/nuts.

Nice work! The second ball just stores on top, or is it threaded in too?

It’s threaded in as well, for the gooseneck. I welded a nut under the top cap.

I thought it was a different size, didn't think about a gooseneck.

This shows the size a little better than the paint can.
