The miniature platform carrier I’m building I wanted to put carriage bolts in the boards but couldn’t find any 4-40 so I made some out of 4-40 round heads. I tig welded the head then put them in the lathe and filed them to shape. Had to put a small drill chuck in the lathe chuck to hold them.

I needed 10 bolts and figured I’d do a couple extra, wound up with 13 usable ones. I welded 29 total cause I kept melting the heads.

OK, that makes sense. I've not had a lot of interior jail experience, do they really have signs inside to tell you you're in jail though? I know criminals aren't always the brightest but........????????????

Stained the boards and put a coat of poly on them. Here’s the fast hitch collection so far. Set the can on for perspective as to how big they are. Guess I’ll make a board for the back like the one I did for the tractor.

Was searching the local classifieds and found this. No phone number and only been on for 15 minutes. Sent an email. Hour later guy calls me, turns out it’s a friend of mine. Going to pick it up today.

Not a bad haul. 7 shanks, one of them is a JD, the rest IH and 2 hillers and the bars. That one shank is bent, it shouldn’t be for long.

Working on a filter screen replacement job for a customer. Boss man got this 4’ X 8’ piece of stainless steel screen. Looks like several Cub touch control filters could be reworked with it :D

Been cleaning up some and found this axle that came off of Walt. I replaced the whole front end when I got it. May salvage a tie rod part or two but that’s it. Was gonna try and save the center tube but the center bushing is cracked all the way around. It could be rewelded but it’s going in the scrap pile. This is why I’m not a fan of loaders on cubs, this one didn’t even have a loader on it

The clamps might be keepers. That is about all!

I'm gonna check them out and see if they are worth saving.

For some reason one of the clamps is missing and I'm not sure where it is, the front end I replaced it with was complete from the engine forward

I’ve had this extension laying in the building for a while and the clamp was missing. Finally got around to making one. I know you can buy a new one but they cost money

I don’t take on to many large personal welding jobs anymore but my powdercoat guy ask me to make him a fork frame for his tractor as a payment. Can’t so no to him, he don’t usually ask for a payment
