Request for prayer

Postby Paul_NJ » Sun Feb 12, 2006 12:54 pm

To the Cub Family

I have been touched many times by the requests for prayer I have witnessed on this site. It’s amazing how much of a “family” the members of this site are. I have heard that God, through His providence, has chosen that the means through which He releases His power is thru the prayers of the people who follow Him. And particularly through our prayers for another. I’ve also read that He particularly honors the prayers of more than one, when they are gathered together. As they are on this site. That’s as powerful as anything gets in this life. It always amazes me that the ultimate creator and ruler of everything could want to be so personally involved in a relationship with us that He actually became human once, and allowed Himself to be killed to enable that relationship to be possible. But it amazes me even more that He cares about our relatively insignificant needs and is willing to get involved in our lives. A real Father.

It’s is my turn to ask. A week from Monday, on February 20, I am having surgery for prostate cancer. It is very early: prognosis of cure are very high. Yet surgery has many risks and this particular operation is a difficult one, with many potential unpleasant side effects. Pretty scary. I’d appreciate your prayers.

Thanks

Paul

Paul you have my prayers from the west coast. Surgery is always a scary situation. I have always felt great relief after making it to the recovery room. Anticipation is always the worst part of the procedure. Best of luck to you. :P

Paul, the prayers you afforded my family and myself, I'm sure helped us. You've shown you care, as God has shown He cares. My prayers are with you. Please keep us posted as to the outcome, and good luck.

Paul:

Without a doubt Em's and my prayers along with our children are with you and your family. We shall pray that God gives sureness and skill to the hands of your surgeons, that he gives strength to you and your family as you undergo this procedure, and that he grants you healing and ensures the cancer is removed.

I know first hand, that as you go through this procedure, you will NOT be alone. The Almighty Triune God will be with you, as HE was with me. HE will be there to ensure that HIS plan will come to fruition and that HIS child(ren) will be blessed with good health.

Peace (+) and Blessings be with you and your family as you pass through this trial. Trust in the Lord, and you will be well.

Paul,
Paula and I will be praying for a successful surgery. My Dad had the almost identical surgery about 3 years ago. With skilled Doctors and Prayers from family and many friends he has made a complete recovery!
Thank the Lord for answered prayers as I'm sure yours will be answered too.

Ron
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
