John - that is sad news indeed. We will pray that God gives Bob the strength and peace needed to face this.

I spent most of the day with Bob today, and I believe his time is growing short. He has been having trouble with bleeding out, both vomiting blood and passing through his bowels. The Dr.s have done endoscopy, ct scans etc. and the cancer has eaten through the wall of his intestine which is causing the bleeding. They are looking into using radiation to cauterize the area. It is so large that other options will not work. It is so bad they thought they had lost him a time or two.

John,

Bob has my sympathy and best wishes.

His bleeding problem is exactly opposite of mine. It was the radiation going after the cancer that caused the large hole in my colon and extensive bleeding. The colon has been out of the circuit for nearly 3 years but it's the rough ride that could cause a recurrence of bleeding that keeps me off the mower. :(
