Prayers and good thoughts needed...

Postby Hengy » Wed Jan 09, 2008 9:39 am

Hey all...

I don't typically post family stuff in the forums, but I decided now was a good time.

Prayers are needed for my dad. He went in for Surgery on Monday morning for Spinal Stenosis in his back. He had pain and weakness in his legs for a while, and this was the solution. He came through surgery OK, and the doctor said that the stenosis was worse than he originally thought and that he may need future surgery to fuse two of his vertebrae. Originally, the doctor said that dad would be in the hospital for one day to watch for infection, but now they are saying 4-5 days...

Please pray for a speedy recovery and for no infection. Boy, it is tough being 750 miles away when a family member is in the hospital...

Mike, you got it.

Tell your Dad, I've been there too. The pain is awful, I don't get the numbness and such in my legs much anymore, but I still get problems in my lower back and shoulder area's.

Tell him to rest up and take it easy, we'll hope and pray that things work out for him.

Mike,

Prayers are on the way. As for the spinal fusion, this Saturday will be the one year anniversary of mine -- two rods, eight screws and I'm as good as new. I'm not missing GW's minifest this year.

Keep your chin up, modern medicine is truly one of God's many blessings.

Mike, you and your family sure have our prayers and thoughts.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
