Thanks everybody. Aunt Virginia is walking short distances on her own; She'll probably transition into assisted living in another week or so. :)

This may encourage Aunt Virginia. My step mother's step mother broke a hip over two years ago at age 99. After a short stay at a rehab facility she went back home where she lives alone! She just recently turned 102! She prefers to live alone because it's quiet.

Just a bit of sad news from my step mother, Mary. Her step mother Helen just fell again and is in the hospital with her other hip broken. This remarkable lady was at the green house shopping at the age of 102!!!! She also has a head injury as a result of her fall. This lady will need all your prayers.

You got 'em from here too George.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Aunt Virginia has our prayers, and you have my admiration for caring for her. My 87 year old Mother still lives alone in our old farm house (we sold farm and she is renting house). she has been having health problems, including a bad fall that are requiring someone to be with her all the time. I know how wearing that can be. We are making plans to put a mobile behind our house for her to move into in the very near future.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

My mother broke her hip and had a replacement at 83. After rehab she went home and did well. She passed at 91 from totally unrelated causes. I am sure Aunt Virginia will do very well.
