I have lost way to many close friends and family members to cancer over the last few years. Our prayers are with the family.

Mike,
I haven't called in a while since I knew you were dealing with a lots at the present time as I was too. You and your extended family are all in our prayers. I know how difficult this time is as I went throught it just 30 mdays ago with the passing of my Mom. I too like you are still trying to see the plan and it does become more understandable as time passes. Prayers and time will heal the loss and life will return to some kind of normal. Hang on to the memories of all the good times. You all are in our thoughts and Prayers.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Mike,

That's one of the hardest things you'll ever do...watching a loved one go. But I'm sure you will someday be settled in the fact she is no longer in pain, and she made her goal of seeing the kids off to school one more time.

Prayers lifted up here in Athens for you and your family.

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Mike,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know your time has been devoted to family and we have missed your presence here taking care of what is important. I am just starting down that road myself as my mother was diagnosed with cancer less than a week ago. I am sure your niece was grateful for each and every day she could spend with family, as i will be with now that the battle is just beginning. my heartfelt condolences.

Bob

Bob, I am also sad to hear of your mother's diagnosis. We traveled that road with my mother this time of year in 2007, and she walked it with dignity, but painful for us all just the same.

Continued prayers for Mike and you as well.

Thanks to all my friends here for the thoughts and prayers, it is truly appreciated and I truly needed to hear them.

This last week has been very hard, but we are pressing on. I am still overwhelmed with the folks here on the forum. While I have met many of the more local folks, it still amazes me that we can make friends with so many folks from all ends of the earth.

The one thing that I am now taking to heart now is how little time some of us may have on this earth, and I am hoping to make a turn in my personal lifestyle to stop taking some things for granted and concentrate on less procrastination and pushing forward with plans.

Bob, my thoughts and prayers to you during this time as well. It's an awful disease and I have learned that there are no easy answers in why it happens.
