My Dad

Postby Phillip W. Lenke » Tue Oct 13, 2009 8:18 am

My Dad went to be with the LORD on Monday Oct,5th He was 85, had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 8 yrs ago. Has been in the VA home for 5 1/2 yrs. So we have had time to adjust to life without him, But, I really Miss him!
He was the father of 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grand children , a WW2 Vet, he received the Bronze star service medal, Purple heart, and several other commendations. HAve been in the military myself, The grave side Military Honors were moving beyond measure.
I will miss him greatly!
Please pray for My Mom and siblings.
Thanks
Phil

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Phil,
You and all your family are in our thoughts and Prayers.

Ron & Paula Whiting
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Phil:

Prayers for you and your family from our house to yours. May the Lord give you all the strength that you need as you travel down this new path.

I lost my Dad 13 years ago this coming Friday. I still miss him terribly. It never goes away, but the pain does diminish. One thing for sure, you remember all the good times. The hard times seem to fade really quick.. the good times keep the memories warm and close.

May the Lord Bless you all (+)
