These things seem to happen in twos....

Postby Jeff M » Sat Jul 24, 2010 10:46 am

When I was 12, my grandfather and great-grandmother passed away on the same day. Now what are the chances of that happening? Now, 46 years later, my father and father-in-law have passed away within 25 hours of each other. HUH???? Now, before anyone starts feeling TOO sorry, let me say that both our fathers were old, in poor health, and ready to go. We are sad, but actually relieved that they have passed. We have been dealing with this for a long time.

Jeff:

That is kind of different. But I guess there is a rationale for it somewhere in His plan. Em and I send along our condolences to you and Vonla. I know it is a relief for both of your father's and they are now free. Our prayers are with you both as you deal with this phase of your journeys. Even though the outcome was known and it was just a matter of time, I know from experience that it doesn't lessen the grief. Be well,.. and remember we are not alone, not one of us..

The Lord bless you and keep you!
The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you (+)peace.

Numbers 6:22-26
Amen, Amen, Amen

see you both soon.

Jeff, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

It is truly strange how some things happen. I'm sure some mathematician could calculate the odds but in my humble opinion, it must be a zillion to one.
