Fifty-three years ago on this date

Postby Dan England » Tue Jul 27, 2010 3:44 pm

Janie and I were married on her eighteenth birthday. I was twenty-one at that time. And how did that go? I believe we agree that if we had it to do over, we would do it again. We feel quite fortunate considering all of the things which can go wrong in a marriage. It has been a good half-century plus for us and we are grateful. Dan

Congratulations! Laura and I were also married on this date, but that was only 14 years ago. We were about 26 years older than you two at the time we wed. We feel the same as you about marriage. Life is good.

Congratulations to all 4 of you :!: 50 years is truly a milestone which very few attain these days God Bless you both. And 14 years is nothing to just pass over, Here's to many more Happy years together :{_}: :{_}: :{_}:
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Congratulations, Ed and Laura. Fourteen years is a significant time period and, having made that, I feel sure that you will have many more years together. Roy and Mary, the two of you are to be congratulated on achieving seven years. Before you know it, that will become ten years, then fifteen. Looking back, now that we are both 70 plus years in age, it seems that the years have passed too quickly. Dan

Dan, congrats to you both. I wish you many more.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Mr. Dan,
As bad as I hate to admit it, I fear you have mis-read my post.  In 7 more years, we will have been married 53 years like you guys!

Again, my very best to you. Congrats!! :{_}: :{_}: :{_}:

Roy: I surely did misread your post. A huge difference between seven and forty-six years. And special congratulations to the two of you. Dan

Dan, I think you and Janie are blessed to have been able to spend that time together as I am sure you feel the same way. Dan my dear friend I truly hope you have many more anniversaries to come yet . I am sure as you must know by now marriage is just what you make of it  but the good times always outweigh the bad.
