Small town USA

Gosh, you just don't expect this in a small rural town. What a terrible shame.

It's a shame this happened anywhere and the sad part is some ambulance chasing lawyer will say the killer had an unhappy childhood and get him off with a plea deal i beleive it's in the bible an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Things seem bad, but it has been around a long time. I think a lot of it is that with the modern communications we hear about it more often than we used to, and as the population increases, so does crime. Drugs are also a very large contributing factor.

I do not condone vigilante action, but I remember an incident that happened in a very rural area a few miles out of Potosi around 40 years ago. There was an old couple that owned a small country store, and were the kind of people that would help anyone that needed help. If you needed food for your family and could not afford it they would provide with the only request being to help someone else out when you got on your feet. The old man played Santa Claus at local Christmas parties, etc. One day they were found murdered in their home behind the store. 3 days later the 2 culprits got a friend to smuggle them to the sheriffs office in the trunk of his car so they could turn themselves in. Word had leaked out (intentionally ?) as to who the sheriff thought had done it, and so many armed people were looking for them they figured that was the only way to stay alive.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
