From Cub drivin' to car drivin'

Postby Winfield Dave » Tue Jan 25, 2011 4:55 pm

Here is my daughter :||): ...the one who loves driving the Cubs and has helped me with 'wrenching' on them...going in for her driving license permit.
My baby is 16...and well on her way to being grown up. :(
My sister got her a bumper sticker for her birthday that says "I am new at this - what's your excuse !"

Dave:

Congrats to your daughter on her sweet 16 and getting the license routine. Pay close attention to the time you have left as the most important man in her life. Hug often, praise a lot and spend some dad/daughter time. They grow up really fast from this point forward... ask me, I have 4 and the youngest will be 22 on Valentine's Day.

I like the bumper sticker

Rudi has offered some very good advice!

I hope to have all 3 of my daughters on hand for DSCF to enjoy the festivities. Two of them especially love spending time on the cubs.

I'm in the same boat Dave. I took my 16 year old daughter for her permit last saturday. Boy I love the dmv , great for people watching!
Now if I can just get my 18 year old daughter to want to drive , as she's only had a permit for 7 months . She better learn to drive before
September when post High School starts. :D

Dave & Russ - Rudy said it very well. Changes will be coming fast and furious. I remember when our daughter got her permit. Seems like yesterday. Now we are watching the grandkids grow up. :D :D

Dave if you are lucky as we were with the kids learning to drive on a tractor before a car you will do just fine.
