With all this "hip talk" I figure I'd better report on Candy. She had her right hip replaced 3 1/2 years ago, and about a year ago this particular implant was recalled. Not all were a problem but her's gave her some difficulties (inflamation and fluid retention).
A week ago Friday (9/30) it was replaced with upgraded components. Every thing went well, but unlike John Puckett, she didn't want to talk Cubs.
She complained about the food and the nurses waking her every hour to take blood or to check vitals.
After two days (Sunday) they released her to come home and get some rest. She used her walker until yesterday when the therapist switched her to her cane. Really great progress, but she's quite the veteran (two knee replacements, one knee revision, one hip replacement and one hip revision).
