Update - Rudi
Thank you so much for all the wonderful messages of prayer and concern. I told Rudi this afternoon of all the prayers coming his way and he was very conforted by this. He says he going to read them when he gets home.
Rudi is doing much better than yesterday, which is very good because yesterday was really not a good day for him. His blood pressure, I found out today from the doctor, actually went down to 50/0. That is when his kidneys shut down along with everything else.
This gave us a bit of a laugh this afternoon. Our doctor told us that the doctor from trauma told him that 'Rudi's blood pressure is 50/0 and he is still talking!!!' Our doctor responded with 'Well that's Rudi for you, he has to be the first at everything". Now that's what I call a will to live.
They still haven't found his source of infection. They are still doing some investigating to locate it. But with the strongest of antibiotics, he seems to be responding, which is good. Kidneys are now functioning again.
He came down from ICU tonight because another patient was coming in and he was in worst condition than Rudi. Rudi got bumped down which of course gives me more visiting. ICU limits visits to 5 minutes per hour. Now at least I can be with him and not in some waiting room.
Will keep you posted on any change.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!

Hope Rudi continues to improve.
Just a note from the 'it happened to us' file, My wife had surgery and they gave her a big jolt of anti-biotics as they usually do while you are in surgery. She had a reaction to the dosage which included all the signs of increasing infection that, of course, they could not find!! They had her on IV drip this and IV drip that......nothing helped. Still with the fever and stuff a blood expert was called in and he ordered her off all antibiotics. She began to bounce back almost right away. She had a case of too much antibiotics (poisoning?) She recovered well except her hair almost all fell out over the next 2 months, then grew back.
Keep us all posted.
