I use this stuff for all my seals and gaskets where fuel and oil is involved. It will fill in any imperfections in the metal that would otherwise lets fluids seep past over time. **It is not a gasket maker, not designed to be used by itself.** This little bottle will last a very long time, it has a 'dauber' on the end of a stick attached to the lid. Little bit goes a long way. If put on and allowed to tack, will hold the gasket/seal in place while you are trying to hold the part, line up holes, reaching for bolts and wrench all at the same time. Use it and I believe you'll like it.
Availabe at any auto parts store: Autozone, Discount, NAPA, etc...

"Hard setting, economical sealant. Seals all common gasketing materials in low temperature and low pressure applications. Temperature range -65°F to 350°F (-54°C to 177°C); resists diesel fuels and most shop fluids"

Raymond, how difficult is it to remove when it comes time to replace the gasket?

Aerosol Carb cleaner will take it off. If you are like me, I tend to get it all over my fingers while using it, have a can ready if you use it!

Stick, I did not think anyone was still using that but me. I have a glass bottle of it, you know how old that is :D. It works well for keeping head bolts from leaking water where they go into a water jacket. Very good to coat the outside of seals before installing. That is what I use on the rear crank seal .
