Circut Tester

Folks,

I'm electrically challenged and anything that makes my life easier, I'm all for. I just picked this up at NAPA (part no. 700-1181)http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Detail.aspx?R=BK_7001181_0006394640 Boy, is it slick! Not only does it light the area to probe and test the circuit, it tells you whether the connection you are probing is positive or negative. You electrical gurus have probably had this in your toolbox for years, so this is for folks like me that need all the electrical help we can get. On sale at my local NAPA for $18.49. Oh, we tested it on a six volt before I put my money down. Worked great.

No, I do not get a commission for any sales that result from this promotional effort. :) :) :)

Bill

Edit - Corrected link and added part no.

Bill, When I click on the link it gives me a window to enter my zip code. Could you list a part number or redo the link?

Thanks, Bob

Bob,

I edited the link and added the part no. I tried the link and it worked for me.

Don't work for me either. It brings up napas page and then I put in the part # and only asks for zip. Won't show the tester. :-)

Update, It will work if I click on SHOP ONLINE under the zip code spot, then enter the part #. I will have to get one. It says $24 something for price. Thanks Grump

Grump,

I went back and tried the link and it went directly to the tester page. Go figure. What you suggested is what I had to do to find the tester page originally.

The unit is on sale now, at least at my local NAPA. The unit has just been introduced, as I understand it.

Bill I don't use any of that fancy stuff. I just hook a wir to the holt (non grounded) side of the battery and scratch it across where I want to know what is happening. Bright spark = good connection weak looking spark = poor connection unless a light lights from where I am testing. I will show you what i mean when I stop by. At the moment it looks like some time in mide or late April. Still tied up with Bev's eye operation and then a couple of other comittments.

Bill,

I will look forward to the demonstration when you visit. Take care of Bev's eye problem before you travel here. I'm in no hurry.
