I needed a couple of copies of parts that Steiner carried, so I called and placed my order. Those puppies were in our house before noon the next day. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the prompt service and the parts were great, as well.

Bought 4 ,1 inch by 5/8 bolts from them recently....They charged 9.50 shipping to send them in a 5.45 "if it fits it ships Usps box"...I questioned them, they said the computer figures the shipping on the size of the box ????....Different kind of answer than I expected....First and last order....Dave

Have been ordering from Steiner for about six years now and have always had great service. Normally three days shipping to my door. Shipping costs however are another story. The business I work for does some shipping. They do a lot of flat rate shipping. Sometimes he makes a little on shipping, most of the time he breaks even and sometimes he loses a little. I am not justifying Steiners rate but most flat rate minimums are $9.50 some are even higher.

Yeh, being a bit hot-headed  and after reading this post again, I ordered 3 brake/clutch return springs...Only needed one but shipping was the same for 3 as for 1....They were 5.95 each which was the cheapest I could find in a brief look see....They were here in 4 business days...So I reconsidered and didn't even ask about the shipping rate...Thats my story and I'm stickin to it.... Dave

I had the same experience. Ordered an oil pressure gauge and it looked like Chinese crap and broke during installation. Hard to tell whats quality and whats junk from pictures on a web site. I learned quick that I need to make every effort to repair the origional parts if at all possible. I also decided that I prefer to drive to a parts dealer to see the parts I'm buying even if its going to cost me alot more in gas than postage. Buyer beware on the net.

While I had the hood off the Lo Boy I replaced the ammeter. The one from Steiner was cheaper, made in USA (something is still made in CT!) and arrived quickly. My mistake was getting 60 amp, the needle hardly moves. I should have gotten the 30 amp. For double the money you can get one that says IH.

I don't remember exactly what I bought for Rex'48 from Steiner but I do recall being pleased with how fast it was deliver. --- Perhaps there is a special shipping charge for Western NY State :D :D :D :D

I'd order from them again.

I ordered parts on Monday and on Wednesday they have still not shipped out. I emailed them and was told " Your order is currently down in the warehouse to be packaged. It generally takes 2-3 days for orders to leave our warehouse". So much for fast shipping! I've had far better results with eBay..... Just to update, after emailing them they finally shipped on Thursday. So much for fixing the tractor this weekend. :surrender:

I ordered again from them and for some reason my password didn't work....So they sent me a new temporary one ...That didn't work either ...So I tried again with another and that didn't work....I tried the guest thing and that didn't work...( of course this could have been my computer skills or lack of) .... I was trying to order McCormick Deering Emblems for my 48...I finally gave up and ordered them from Binder Books (cheaper btw.... 24.99 as compared to 41 something... ) and it went right thru...They said it would ship in 2 days from an email they sent me...I'm glad some have good luck with Steiner...Dave....
