Rural King stores

Postby Roninpa » Tue Feb 18, 2014 9:19 pm

I just found out about these stores and the closest one to is about 50 miles from me in st. Clairsville Ohio mall but it is all interstate driving. There brand oil is on sale for $1.89 qt. I got a cub muffler for $2o.99. They have better prices on bolts by pound than TSC and they also carry metric sizes sold by pound. They also have a 12volt group 78-60 on sale till the 22nd for $49.99. I was impressed by this store and will be making more trips there. Ron

I'm lucky, I've got one about 5 miles from me. It is a great store. Last weekend I picked up a 3000# 12volt electric winch on sale for $69.99, normal price $149.99. Our Rural King is in an old K-Mart building about twice the size of our TSC store.

If you compare your receipts from Rural King and Big R you will find it appears it's the same parent company. They carry basically the same thing with different store brands.

I've never been in a Rural King, but I noticed that there is one in Marion, OH, about a 45 min. drive away. Free popcorn seals the deal, gotta go check it out!

There is one in Xenia just 12 miles down the road from Young's Dairy and Restaurant. That sounds like the start to the next Buckeye MiniFest. We could get our picture taken with this.

There are 3 Rural King stores within 45 miles of us. Good prices on a lot of stuff. I still go to the TSC about 30 miles away.
Rural King does not carry Autolite plugs for my Cub.

Bill, that sounds like a plan, I don't even need to confer with Regina, she'll be all for it. We ate at Young's last Fall and had a great meal. Pick a date and let's do it!

You sure are a part of us. I am working on a separate post in the events forum so we don't hijack this one any further. Stay tuned, Rosie just called me to lunch.

Of course you are, Bill. A little far for a mini-fest but since you missed DSCF you're behind on miles this year. Bring Jo along, Candy would love to see her again.
